Florida Title Insurance Education Requirements

Whether you are preparing for your first license or maintaining your current license, start by understanding the education requirements that apply to you.

Pre-Licensing Requirements

Required Education: 40 approved hours, OR 1 year of responsible title insurance experience within the preceding 4 years.

State Examination: Yes under either route, unless exempt.

Choose education that meets the requirements for your license and review the course approval details before enrolling. Completing a course does not replace your other licensing obligations.

Continuing Education Requirements

Required Hours: 10 approved hours every 2 years.

Required Subjects and Other Details: Complete 3 hours of ethics, rules, or compliance and 7 standard title hours.

Review the course approval details before enrolling so you know how the credit applies to your Florida title insurance license.

Notary Courses

Explore Florida notary education to strengthen your understanding of notarial duties, document handling, and professional responsibilities.

Review the available courses and choose the education that fits your next step.

These requirements describe the standard resident individual title agent requirements. Your obligations may differ if you qualify for an exemption or hold a different license status. Completing education does not renew your license automatically. Confirm your requirements with your state insurance regulator.
